**There are many programs available through the lions club International. No club can partake successfully in them all. Our club has selected to focus on the following projects with great success through our local supporters.**
BRIGHTER VISIONS PROGRAM
The Weeksville Lions Club is here to help the visually impaired to get quality eye care. If you need financial aid for eye glasses or for a doctor appointment, please contact one of the Lions below. We may be able to help. In the past we have helped people with blindness spend a week at Camp Dogwood (the North Carolina Lions Camp for the blind), help with cataract surgery, the yearly fishing tournament at the Outer Banks, and more.
Brighter Vision Chair - Lion Maurice Berry - 330-4333
Lion Roy Daniels - 330-4575

SPOT VISION PROGRAM
SPOT VISION IS A DEVICE PURCHASED BY OUR CLUB TO AID IN THE EARLY DETECTION OF EYE CONDITIONS AND HAS AUGMENTED THE OFTEN FULLY BOOKED VISION VAN PROGRAM
The Spot Vision program is part of the Brighter Visions project, and helps identify eye conditions and irregularities with a fast and concise print out of any condition identified if desired. The Lions Club is working with the local schools and their nursing staff to set appointments for our team to come to the school and give free exams to the children and young adults in our schools system to help identify problems before they prevent any child from having learning difficulties due to vision issues. We have expanded our efforts to cover the adjoining Camden County as well
